Mass media

Not to be confused with mass mania (though the two are indeed first cousins), it is “a medium of communication (such as newspapers, radio, or television) that is designed to reach the mass of the people—usually used in plural,” according to our dear friend Merriam-Webster. Now, we’re not calling our friend a liar, but we noticed that mediums are designed to reach spirits, not people per se. A minor, yet notable detail coming from your resident expert on channeling the masses in media and otherwise.
